Volunteer with CMETrust
As an entirely volunteer run organization CMETrust is always looking for dedicated volunteers to help advance education in Kenya, one child at a time. CMETrust relies on volunteers with a wide variety of skills. You can lend your expertise and build your resume through one of our volunteer opportunities.
What Can You Expect?
You will find that being part of this organization will offer many rewards. You will have a chance to meet new and inspiring people, develop fresh ideas, use your skills or learn new ones, but most of all you will be an important part of our dynamic grassroots team.
You can hear about volunteering with CMETrust from one of our volunteers, Rebecca Swift:

Rebecca Swift
“I was introduced to CMETrust at my first Timeraiser event in Toronto last year. The event connects organizations with volunteers through a silent art auction where participants bid volunteer hours instead of money.
By the end of the night I had pledged 125 volunteer hours on a photograph by Brian Barrer, which I would receive at the following Timeraiser held March 2011 if I completed my pledge within the year. I started filling my hours at various arts festivals but was looking for something more fulfilling. It was on this search that I was re-acquainted with CMETrust.
It was after almost 200 volunteer hours at various organizations – about half of them spent with CMETrust – that I found that working with CMETrust had been one of the best volunteer experiences I had ever had. I found CMETrust had a real sense of community within the group where every volunteer is encouraged to come up with new ideas for events, fund- and awareness-raising. I was given the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills to a project I felt passionate about and at the same time benefit an individual half way around the world. There is a strong sense of pride, accomplishment and joy that comes with that – exactly what I felt was missing in previous experiences.”
Rebecca Swift is an active volunteer with CMETrust and excited to be involved as we grow and change.
